Yes this is possible, you need to use the preselected items list, there is inforamtion on this available at the SAP Help:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ccm20/helpdata/en/index.htm -> Searching in catalog data -> List of selected items#

In the call structure of the catalog affected you should enter the new parameter:

use_selection_list      I       Fixed value

Use the value I not X as per note 946117.

Then you should see this:

Adding the items to the preselected list will allow you to get to your 'shopping list'
